Dong Yi Shun Chilayu Restaurant

Hm, what can I say? Great Chinese food at affordable prices. And it's halal too. So for those Chinese food lovers out there who happened to be Muslims, maybe you can give this place a shot.]

Ok, I can't find a proper address for this. But if you can find Giant Hypermarket Kelana Jaya near the LDP, then it's no mystery. Just drive a little further past MickeyD's and Maybank on your right and turn to your left.

There's a place called Dataran Glomac there. It's on the first row you see. If you can find it, go all the way until you see KFC, then check again ^^

I checked the reviews. Everyone gave a good rating. Me?

I'm no different. The food was really really good for what I've paid for. And thus, my recommendation ^^

ARABIC RICE

MA POH TOFU

SZE CHUAN SPICY LA MI

My mom took us there so it was a nice dining experience. They most certainly weren't stingy with the portions, at all. My fried rice came compacted, or compressed, whatever you call round blobby rice. But mine, and my brother's, were both served in that blob of rice itself, only bigger. It was shaped like a Chinese semi-flat bowl. So you can just imagine how much rice there was. And like I said, it was a nice dining experience.

Arabic rice was splendid. I donno what they put in it, but it tastes so good. For a RM9 dish, I'd go there again just wallop another lol. My brother's was Guangzhou fried rice. It appeared plain, but tasted fantastic. Oh, for the record, no, it doesn't taste like those instant rice mix flavouring like Adabi and Ajinomoto's. It pretty much tastes wok cooked from garlic to rice. So yeah.

My mom's Szechuan Spicy Noodles aren't that spicy, though some may consider it spicy. But whatever it was, the taste was mild with many underlying notes of subtle tastes. And what does that mean? Obviously they didn't serve you with cheaposkatoh maggi instant soup of course. You can still beats of chicken meat inside, which means that they really brewed it with real chicken. And for that, I give them a +1 to reputation ;)

Oh, and I have good news. Apparently the one at KJ is the second outlet. At least I believe it so. There's another one at Kota Damansara. I can't find the real address again. But there are hints to where to find it through here. So do check it out if you're interested.

done in fact. Of course, they serve you fresh oven-baked bread from
their own kitchen to be eaten along with their splendeur. So, got your
guesses already?

Well, if you guessed TGI Friday's, go kill yourself right now please.

If you guess Chilli's, well, the food's pretty good but sorraeh, it's not Chilli's.

If you thought of something Italiannies, then, ok, you're in for the epic win. Because it is Italiannies.

And guess what, I went there TWICE. In a month :D
Once was with mah love. But meh, we were broke, so we had to stretch our own wallets. Not so fun. Still good food. But wished we could spend more, 'cause on my birthday, well, actually a few days after my birthday, my family and I were scheduled to go the Fatty Crabs for my brithday dinner, but due to amazing me getting into a certain accident while cycling to a certain stressful college, it had to be cancelled, be of all people, Chinese has this traditional handed-down belief that crab is very toxic for wounds. So the plan go scrapped and I suggested Italiannies instead. Boy, was that the best choice ever.

If you go there, YOU MUST TRY, the Meatball Pasta for 6. Holy fucking seriously. The meatballs are like the size of your an embryo after coming out of the womb with illegal abortion techniques I tell you. And there were like 6 balls. One for each. Trust me, you wouldn't wanna take more than one. I mean, yes, it's good for you, but not necessarily so to your digestive system. But you're welcome to try of course.

And I finally had genuine tasty cheesy holy smoking lasagna with lotsa and I'm telling you, helluvalotsa CHEEZ. Am I glad they aren't cheddar. Blardy cheapskates. Pfft. Oh, that's not directed towards Italiannies mind you. Just every other restaurant that serves cheap lasagna besides Italiannies. Trust me, if you tried lasagna at DeliFrance or any other Pizza outlets and actually ate the one at Italiannies, your stomach will literally scream of bliss. Of course not your mouth. Who would wanna spit such a gourmet from your mouth. Bsh. if you did. I feel for you man.

Well, if you can, just try not to take their set meals. It's cheap(er) of course. But all the original dishes are like 10x better. Yeah, that kinda difference. I know 'cause my silly dad ordered a set meal when everyone else ordered to their heart's desire. Of course just a plate each. I wouldn't talk about the bill. It's... ahahahahaahah.

Ok, average dish price, RM35. That's all you have to know. The meatball, RM65 but if you're sharing with 6, man, it's pretty affordable.

Italiannies is good for you

If you're the kinda person who loves subtle taste with many different underlining notes of flavours over overwhelming slabbed taste, then Italiannies is the right place to go to. Just be prepared to spend a good deal of money for a value other restaurants can never provide to your tummy.

Ministry of Food

 And I thought there was only Ministry of Sound. Apparently there is a Ministry of Food. It's known non-other than Ministry of Food no Japanese Cafe.

I believe it's located nearby JC&Co Donuts, but only 2 floors higher. But I might be mistaken.

So I went there with mah gf. She ordered some kinky avocado salad and I ordered some el-cheapo curry fish. JAP CURRY fish.  It tastes good. But compared to Sushi Zanmai. Hahahahaha, they can never beat them I think. But I'll keep the possibilities open I guess.

Though, I only ordered a set meal so maybe it wasn't the best dish they could offer. It's pretty obvious with the half-assed dori they gave me. It's literally just half a dori fillet lol.

Makes me sad.

But it'd do the place no justice to judge it based on it's set meals. I mean, it's not a fast-food joint like McD's after all. So maybe I'll swing by this place again sometime, only with more money to spend.

Till then... AIYA, JUST DON'T BUY SET MEALS WHEREVER THE HECK YOU MAY BE DINING IN. Except for fast-food joints. They'll disappoint you.

Anyways, if you must know, Jap curry ain't spicy at all. So for those of you who never tried curry before, just go for Jap curry. Ahahahahahahaha.

Rojak Subang Near Taylor's (Subang)

So let's not talk about the obvious nao. It's near Taylor's and that Taylor's is in Subang. Period. Other landmarks? Somewhere nearby Subang Parade but not that close.

Whatever it is, it doesn't matter. If you went for your undang test in the Subang area with a company called Rilek, then you'd definitely see this.

I mean, check it out. Malaysians. Actually lining up. IN ORDER. Just to get Rojak Subang SS***. I forgot the address. No, I'm not sorraeh. If you really want that rojak baaaaaad enough, I'm pretty sure you can find it without me telling you the address lol.

Ok fine, another kind landmark. I remember seeing KFC nearby. That's all. And there is a field just across the road where the stall is. So yeah. NO MORE TIPS.

So anyways, I don't think I have to vouch for the rojak. If that many people railed themselves so particularly systematically just to get that rojak, from morning around 11am till 3pm, what else can I say. IT MUST BE GOOD. And the best part is, that line always has a minimum length. And that minimum length, is a quarter of a circle's long. When people go, other people come. It's crazy. It's like the rojak vendor has some miracle LRT system.

Ok, wait, an aunti who spoke flawless English suddenly cut in front of me. I didn't respond of course. I was too lazy to give a shit. I just wanted to eat some nice nutty fragrant and thick mamak rojakkkkkkkk....

I'm telling you, it must be the 1 Malaysia aura. Just look at them all, standing united, for what? ROJAK. This must've been one of those other plans Najib had unintentionally planned. Again. Maybe he's not as bad as a PM as we think he is. Or maybe not. Regardless, this post is about ROJAK. Najib, is just not ROJAK material.

Fancy Choc Dips Anyone?

This is supposed to be history since it was supposedly like done on the 23rd of April, my birthday as most of you wouldn't really bother knowing since it's a pretty insignificant date compared to April Fool's Day, which is the birth date of someone very important to me.

No, I was joking about not joking.

Doesn't matter if you don't understand nuts. What you need to know here is that all the chocs are just whatever you like be it Hershey's Cadbury's Choki2, you name it buddy. Just melt them altogether in a pot not with direct heat since you'd end up burning your precious molten lava of smelty chocolatey goodness if you did.

Don't know how? Ok, find a BIG POT. Then find a small bowl. Fill the BIG POT wit water and put all the chocolcate you wish molten in the small bowl. Put the small bowl filled with choc into the BIG POT, then put the BIG POT onto the stpve and wait for it to melt. And no, don't cover it. You wouldn't want diluted choc. Trust me. But if you really need to add any liquid, please for the love of God or any other mighty entity, just try milk. FULL CREAM. Why? Oh, it's good for you.

Who made this dish for me again? Well, it's my sis of course. I was surprised that she even did something like this for me hahaha. Well, our relationship wasn't great from the beginning, but I guess being adults now help to keep the past behind us eh? Family ties just rock sometimes. Heh.

Don't worry about the dipping. Anything tastes good in molten choc. Trust me. I tried chocholate chicken before. It tastes exactly like chocolate. Only that it's chicken!

And that's pretty much it?

P/S, my sis used Cadbury's....

and used  marshmallows, Rawst berries and  apples.
